TV presenter Cat Deeley has landed a new role – voicing a wicked witch on CBeebies.
The star, who hosts the hit US show So You Think You Can Dance, will lend her voice to a special episode of the animated preschool series Kate and Mim-Mim.
She said: “I knew I would have a great time voicing this and the fact that I got to play Kate’s nemesis, the baddie witch, made it even more interesting to me.
“It’s always the baddies who have the most fun and I get to go to my slightly darker side for inspiration!”
The presenter, 39, will voice Violet in the special feature-length episode, Kate in Oz, to be broadcast on CBeebies later this month.
Cat and husband Patrick Kielty became parents to a baby boy in January.
The series follows the adventures of Kate, a young girl who, together with her toy bunny Mim-Mim, travels to the fantasy world of Mimiloo, where Mim-Mim comes alive as a larger-than-life playmate.
