Nicole Kidman looked sensational in a classic black gown as she walked the red carpet at the London Film Festival premiere of her new movie Lion.
The Australian actress, 49, looked every inch the Hollywood superstar in the floor-sweeping velvet number, complete with a keyhole-style front design and a slashed skirt.
Additional design elements were added, with oversized pockets on her hips and two thick rope-like bows keeping the front together.
A slick of fierce scarlet lipstick and a slicked-back hairstyle elevated her aesthetic to another level.
She walked the red carpet along with her co-star Dev Patel, 26, who cut a suave figure in a slick midnight blue suit.
The premiere took place during the 60th BFI London Film Festival at the Odeon cinema in the capital’s Leicester Square.
The two actors star in Lion, an adaptation of Saroo Brierley’s memoir A Long Way Home, detailing his quest to find his family after he fell asleep in a train carriage in India as a child and ended up hundreds of miles from home – where he was adopted by an Australian couple.
Dev, best known for his role in Slumdog Millionaire, plays the adult Saroo, who is haunted by lurid memories of his past and uses Google Earth to find his original home, while Nicole plays his adopted mother.
Lion will be released in UK cinemas on November 25.
