Life will imitate art for Bill Nighy when a movie in which he plays a film star premieres at the BFI London Film Festival.
Bill stars opposite Gemma Arterton and Sam Claflin in Their Finest, a comedy of manners in which Gemma plays a script editor working on propaganda films for the Ministry of Information during the Blitz.
The film is directed by Danish film-maker Lone Scherfig, who is responsible for An Education and The Riot Club, marking her fifth movie set in the UK.
Bill plays a fractious movie star who develops a creative dependency on Gemma’s character, while Sam plays her artist husband.
Bill, Gemma, Sam and Lone are all expected at the premiere at the Odeon in Leicester Square.
