Revenge might be a sweet sensation for Little Mix star Perrie Edwards.
The singer has confirmed she does not want anything to do with her former fiance Zayn Malik and has not let him hear the girl band’s new song.
Asked by The Sun if she warned the former One Directioner about the track in advance, Perrie said: “No” with her bandmate Jesy Nelson adding: “We don’t think he deserves a warning! He’ll just have to wait to see.”
New song Shout Out To My Ex features some brutal take-downs, reportedly about Perrie’s relationship with Zayn before he moved on with supermodel Gigi Hadid.
One lyric makes disparaging remarks about his performance in the bedroom, while another says: “Guess I should say thank you, For the ‘hate yous’ and the tattoos, Oh baby I’m cool by the way, Ain’t sure I loved you anyway.”
Bandmate Leigh Anne Pinnock did give her ex some warning about the track, making sure footballer Jordan Kiffin knew what was on the way.
She told the paper: “I’m still friends with my ex so I didn’t want to be rude.
“It’s a strong statement, so I wanted to make sure he knew before it comes out. It’s not going to be nice for any of them, let’s face it.”
