It’s easy to assume that world famous hip hop artists take everything in their stride. All the champagne, private jets and meeting other artists seem like second nature to some.

So it’s pretty refreshing to see Nicki Minaj completely lose it when meeting her idol, Lauryn Hill, after the TIDAL X:1015 benefit gig.

The rapper posted two pictures and a video showing the moment she met Lauryn, accompanied with the caption: “I quoted her in my HS YEARBOOK!!!!!”

It’s clearly too much for Nicki to handle as she sinks to the floor, saying: “I’m in love with you, your spirit, your mind, everything about you.”

The caption accompanying the video is even cuter, and it sounds like she got some encouragement from her idol.

“Excuse me while I have an outer body experience,” she said. “Shaking, crying, a MESS!!!! This lady is the reason. Omg. The QUEEN. Goddess! The epitome! The bar! The *faints*. Ms Lauryn Hill told me to keep ‘spittin dat fire’. Is this real life!????”

They say never meet your idols, but we think Nicki would disagree with that.
