Perrie Edwards has told how she felt “broken” after Zayn Malik dumped her by text.

The Little Mix singer, 23, confirmed in the girl group’s new book, Our World, that Zayn, also 23, called an end to their relationship – and engagement – with a text, according to HollywoodLife.com.

It has published an extract from the book, in which Perrie writes: “It was horrible, the worst time in my life.

“A four-year relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even thought things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me… I was happy but inside I felt broken.”

The then-couple got engaged in 2013 after they started dating in early 2012.

Their relationship ended in 2015.

Zayn is now dating model Gigi Hadid, 21.
