Ballyfin Demesne, in County Laois has been named the world’s No.1 hotel according to the influential US travel magazine, Conde Nast.

Its one of three Irish hotels to make the top ten according to the magazine’s 300,000 readers.

Waterford Castle and The Lodge at Ashford Castle in County Mayo took 7th and 9th place respectively.
