And during the semi-final episode of The Great British Bake Off, the octogenarian cake making genius let slip perhaps her best naughty comment ever.
She was in the midst of discussing Candice Brown’s method for creating her fondant fancies in the showstopper challenge.
Candice explained she was making cherry bakewell-inspired fondant fancies, but the judge was not sure about her method.
Mary asked: “So this will go into that hole and the juice will drizzle down into the sponge?”
