A Rolling Stones concert in Las Vegas has been cancelled after Sir Mick Jagger was diagnosed with laryngitis.
The frontman, 73, has been advised to rest his voice following two shows at the Desert Trip festival in Indio, California, earlier this month.
It is not yet known if he will be better in time to perform at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas scheduled for October 22.
A statement on the band’s website said: “We regret to inform you that the Rolling Stones’ concert scheduled for Wednesday, October 19 at T-Mobile Arena has been cancelled.

“Lead vocalist Mick Jagger has come down with laryngitis and has been advised by doctors to rest his voice.
“We hope to have information about the possibility of rescheduling this date very soon. We encourage ticket holders to wait for that information before seeking refunds.
“We also hope to have further information about the status of the concert scheduled for Saturday, October 22.”

The band will release their first studio album in more than a decade, Blue & Lonesome, on December 2.
It was recorded at British Grove Studios in west London in December last year, near Richmond, and the tiny Eel Pie Island where the Stones started out – playing the blues in pubs and clubs.
