Bruce Springsteen says the song he penned for a Harry Potter movie was “pretty good” – despite the fact that it was rejected.
The superstar, 67, wrote a track called I’ll Stand By You Always for the boy wizard franchise.
He told Radio 2′s Drivetime show: “They didn’t use it… You’ll have to ask them (why).
The US musician added: “It was pretty good. It was a song I wrote for my eldest son.
“It was a big ballad that was very uncharacteristic of something I’d sing myself.
“But it was something I thought would fit lovely,” he said of the movies, starring Daniel Radcliffe.
The Boss told Simon Mayo he’d love to see the song make its mark on another film.
“At some point I’d like to get it into a children’s movie of some sort because it was a pretty lovely song,” he said.
