
Paddy Barnes has thanked his promoters after being added to the St Patrick’s Day card in Madison Square Garden, New York, alongside former Olympic teammate Michael Conlan.

It was announced earlier this week that Conlan would make his professional debut at the iconic venue after signing-up with renowned American promoter, Bob Arum.
The March fight won’t be Barnes first professional fight, he is set to make his debut in his hometown of Belfast next month.

Both fighters moved from amateur to professional boxing after controversial defeats at the Olympic Games in Rio.
