Never one to pull his punches, Republic of Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane was in particularly candid form on ITV last night.

There to commentate on the midweek Champions League action, Keane held forth about Leicester, Kolo Toure, ‘brave but stupid’ Manchester City and Tottenham’s Premier League chances.

He also found time to fit in a trademark rant about players hugging to celebrate wins.

Here he is on Leicester and their priorities.

He had a go at Manchester City and new ‘keeper Claudio Bravo.

Kolo Toure’s decision-making was called into question.

Keane appeared to be positive about Spurs before giving them “no chance” of lifting the Premier League trophy.

And finally, here is refusing to get excited about a “standard” Kasper Schmeichel save.

“What is the game coming to?” he asked toward the end of the show.

We’re not sure Roy, but it’s good to have you here to stop the footballing world losing the run of itself.
