Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini put aside his personal life to attend the star-studded Jack Reacher premiere in London, hours after his divorce from singer and TV star Cheryl was finalised.
The French restaurateur, 35, looked slick in a crisp blue suit as he walked the red carpet alongside the likes of the film’s biggest star Tom Cruise, as well as actresses Cobie Smulders and Danika Yarosh.
He kept his cool as he posed for the cameras on what was a significant day for him.
Hours before, he and the former Girls Aloud star’s marriage came to an end in just 14 seconds.
Cheryl, 33, had sought a divorce from him after complaining that his unreasonable behaviour had caused her stress and weight loss, court papers showed.
The pair – who tied the knot in July 2014 – were granted a decree nisi by family court judge Heather MacGregor in the speedy hearing, after concluding that their marriage had “broken down irretrievably”.
Cheryl and Jean-Bernard were not present at the hearing, held at the Central Family Court in London.
Divorce papers filed at the court showed that the singer had petitioned for divorce.
Cheryl – in forms she signed on September 14 – said the cause of the breakdown was her husband’s “unreasonable behaviour”.
The singer and former X Factor judge said his behaviour had affected her health and added: “It caused stress and weight loss.”
Cheryl is now dating One Direction star Liam Payne, and has remained quiet on social media following the quickie divorce.
