Enda Kenny has denied that Ireland could face hundreds more tax investigations following the Apple ruling.

It’s after reports earlier today of 300 possible investigations are wide of the mark and have been denied by Brussels.

The Taoiseach says that while Brussels is examining some of Ireland’s tax rulings, it doesn’t mean further inquiries will follow.

And he says it’s a dangerous time to speculate about Ireland’s tax affairs.

“To have an impression to that perhaps there are 300 cases coming to Ireland from the Commission is not what they have said and is not any indication (to) what they’ve given us.

“It does impact on companies looking as to – particularly with the Brexit situation – where they might want to invest.”
