Michael Bublé is a guest on the Late Late Show tonight and as well as performing the Canadian will be chatting to Tubs about what he’s been up to.
This singer opens up about a recent operation he had, telling Tubridy the surgeon told him it went well but he still has “a small penis”.
Don’t worry it’s not what you think, that was Bublé’s doctor’s way of telling him his vocal cord surgery was a success.
“I had a great doctor. He was a skilled, really great professional with a really great sense of humour,” he says.
When I woke up from the operation, the first thing he said to me was: ‘it was much less invasive than we thought it would be’ and I just thought ‘yes’ but then he said ‘but you still have a small penis’!”
Bublé pre-recorded the segment that airs on tonight’s The Late Late Show. The item was filmed in front of more than 200 of his biggest fans.
He treated them to two songs and posed for selfies with the audience afterward.
The vocal cord operation came to light earlier this year after the ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’ crooner cancelled two public appearances.
However, he told the Late Late audience he only revealed the operation was happening after getting calls from journalists asking if there was something wrong in his personal life.
“I didn’t want to tell anybody because it was so not serious but I had to cancel two really big events… My friends in the media, who are journalists, started to call and started to say: ‘is there something wrong with your family? Is there a problem with your personal life? Is your health okay? Are your kids okay?’ he explained to Tubs.
“It really started to freak me out,” he says, “I would rather not court controversy, I would rather just tell the people what was really happening than have speculation.”
He also tells Tubridy that becoming a father has changed him totally.
“Being a papa has given me perspective that I so very badly need. The only regret I have is that I didn’t do it earlier… There is a level of love that I didn’t know existed, I think that’s what I’m finding,” before joking: “When I said that there’s a level of love I didn’t know existed, I meant for me!”
Other guests on tonight’s Late Late include chat show host Graham Norton, Kerry footballer Kieran Donaghy, cook Donal Skehan and country music star Nathan Carter.
