An 11-year-old boy has died in hospital today following a traffic collision in Navan, Co Meath on October 16.

GardaĆ­ at Navan Garda Station are investigating the collision which occurred at Abbeylands South, Navan, last Sunday at 9.50 a.m.

The boy was crossing the road when he was involved in a collision with a truck.

He was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital and transferred to Temple Street Hospital where he died this afternoon.

The driver of the truck, a man in his mid 30s, was uninjured.
