The average cost for a funeral in County Wexford, including removal and care of the deceased; embalming; removal to the church / cemetery; hearse; funeral directors fee and coffin, was recorded as €3,408.

This figure does not take into account additional expenses, including:the cost of a burial plot or cremation service as well as church offerings; the priest; music and obituary notice.

The highest price quoted to the nationwide survey for a funeral of the same type was €6,310 in County Tipperary.
