West Ham United surged to a rapturous win against Chelsea in the League Cup – probably their best performance at the converted Olympic Stadium.

The Irons took an early lead through a goal from a Cheikhou Kouyate header in the 11th minute, before a fine 18-yard strike from Edmilson Fernandes proved to be enough to see them through – despite a late consolation for Chelsea through Gary Cahill.

West Ham have had a poor start to the season, while Chelsea are only a point off the top of the Premier League – so what’s changed?

Well, the Chelsea manager has.

Chelsea manager Conte’s appearance was a little out of character (Mike Egerton/EMPICS Sport and Nick Potts/PA)

That’s right, Antonio Conte ditched his usual dapper suit for a blue hoodie.

Perhaps his outfit was the reason his players seemed a bit more casual against West Ham?

A logical conclusion.

Looking at the pictures maybe Conte regretted the decision at least.

Just look at him looking longingly at his counterpart Slaven Bilic’s fine suit and knitwear.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa couldn’t even look at his manager’s outfit as he left the field.

At the end, Conte and Bilic shared a word – and we know what they were saying.

Well, the team may not have clicked for you Antonio, but actually the jumper actually went down rather well with most.
