Pat Hickey’s legal team is warning he needs to come home from Brazil for heart treatment.
The former President of the Olympic Council of Ireland had his passport confiscated in August when he was arrested in Rio. He denies all allegations of ticketing touting in Rio.
However several months later a trial date has yet to be set and 71-year-old Mr Hickey wants to be allowed to return home.
His legal team say this is now a humanitarian issue, as he needs heart surgery.
Mr Hickey (pictured) was arrested in Rio de Janeiro on August 17, and faces charges alongside nine others, including fellow Irishman, THG executive Kevin James Mallon, 36.
