420 people are waiting on a bed at hospitals across the country this afternoon.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says 314 people are on trolley’s while a further 106 are in overflow areas of wards.

According to the latest trolley watch report – University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded with 47 people in need of a bed.

South Tipperary General Hospital is next with 33 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.
