Greg Rutherford and his partner Natalie Lowe got tearful following their Strictly Come Dancing performance on Saturday night and not only because they were dancing to the emotional Evanescence track Wake Me Up Inside.
The pair were given a mixed bag of comments from the judges’ with Craig Revel-Horwood deeming it “not a rumba”.
Craig handed them a lowly four in contrast to 7 apiece from Darcey Bussell and Len Goodman and an eight from Bruno Tonioli.
Despite positive remarks from Darcey and Bruno, the pair got a little tearful in their post-dance chat with Claudia Winkelman.
Plenty of people came to their defence after Craig’s low score.

Some fans thought dancing to such an emotive song was always going to get them going.

The judges appeared to still be arguing about the low score as Tess Daly introduced the next performance.
Sorry #Tess no idea what you are saying I am watching the judges bickering after that 'rhumba' by Greg & Natalie #strictly @bbcstrictly pic.twitter.com/8dT8JCXtnx

Despite the mixed scores, Greg and Natalie still managed to top last week’s score.
