Idris Elba has apparently won his first professional kickboxing competition.

The Luther star, who has been touted as the next James Bond, triumphed in a bout in Bethnal Green in London.

Idris hasn’t commented on social media, but Queen of Pop Madonna filmed the fight as she sat in the audience.

She shared a clip on Instagram, captioned: “Idris Elba Smashes it at York Hall!”

She added another picture of herself with someone else, apparently outside the venue, and wrote: “Kick Boxing Groupies.”

It is thought the star took part in the contest as part of his upcoming documentary Idris Elba: Fighter.

The series, expected to air next year, will follow the actor in his quest to become a kickboxer.

Idris has been sharing clips of his workouts online.

It is not known who Idris was fighting in the competition at York Hall.
