Tom Hardy is set to play another gangster on the big screen.

The English actor, who portrayed both of the Kray twins in last year’s Legend, is tipped to star as Al Capone in new movie Fonzo.

The Hollywood Reporter says the film will focus on the mobster in his late 40s, when his “violent past comes back to haunt him”.

Josh Trank will direct.

Tom, 39, won plaudits for his dual performance as notorious East End gangsters Reggie and Ronnie Kray in Legend.

He said at the time: “In all honesty for me this is the hardest thing that I’ve tried to do in my career, trying to pull off a couple of characters in the same film.”
