Strictly Come Dancing head judge Len Goodman has revealed why he thinks Daisy Lowe keeps facing the dreaded dance-off.

The model was in the dance-off on Sunday for a second consecutive week, despite being rated highly by the judges.

She competed against singer Anastacia, who did get the boot from the judges.

Some of the show’s fans were angry that Ed Balls wasn’t in Daisy’s place.

Len told Chris Evans’ Radio 2 Breakfast show: “I’ve tried to figure that out myself (why Daisy keeps facing the dance-off)… She’s a terrific dancer, she’s got a lovely personality and she’s such a charming, lovely person.

“The only thing I can think of is that people, when they vote, may see Daisy is there, she’s in fourth place, she’s in a good position, they may think ‘well, she’s safe’.

“And then they vote for somebody down the line who they hope will come back and poor Daisy gets overlooked.

“That’s the only thing I can imagine because it’s nothing to do with her dancing.”

Len told Chris that people shouldn’t complain about Daisy’s position on the show if they were not picking up the phone to vote for her, saying: “Don’t moan if you don’t phone.”
