Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a stabbing in Dublin last week.

Thursday night, 27th October, 2016 in Church Street.

They said that a 30-year-old man was attacked by a group of youths on Church Street at around 11.30pm on Thursday, October 27.

He was chased from the Smithfield area onto Queen Street and up to Arran Quay, before arriving at Church Street where he managed to get help.

He presented himself at the Mater Hospital where he was treated for stab wounds which are not life-threatening.

Gardaí are appealing for anybody who was around Smithfield, Queen Street, Arran Quay and the Church Street areas of Dublin 7 between 11.15pm and 11.45pm that night to contact the Bridewell Garda station on 01 – 666 8200, the Garda Confidential line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
