Good news for all the Stranger Things fans out there: it appears Millie Bobby Brown will be returning as Eleven in season two of the hit sci-fi series.
The show’s most intriguing character’s appearance in the second season was “up in the air” earlier this year, but TV Line reports she’s set to resume her role as a series regular.
Netflix has yet to comment, but the Spanish-born British actress appeared to confirm something was in the works via Instagram.
“Shhhhh @dkharbour don’t say a word! #s02 #strangerthings @netflix @strangerthingstv”, Millie wrote as the caption, tagging David Harbour, aka Sheriff Hopper from season one.
Millie will be joined by another strong female lead, with Sadie Sink cast in the role of Max, described as a “tough and confident girl whose appearance, behaviour and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era”.
The show is expected to return some time in 2017, with Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Joe Keery (Steve), Noah Schnapp (Will), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) and Winona Ryder (Joyce Myers) all confirmed for season two – where we’ll find the cast roughly a year on from events at the end of the last season.
