The biggest news is the inclusion of two players from Dundalk Airtricity League-winning squad – midfielder Daryl Horgan and defender Andy Boyle.
At the announcement O’Neill said: “I’ve been impressed by the way Dundalk play. Quite a number have done well. Any players called up deserve to be.”

James Mc Carthy is doubtful due to a hamstring injury but has been included in the extended squad.
Shane Long is not included, with O’Neill saying the player is not ready to return. Injury has also ruled out Alan Judge and Rob Elliott.
But Colorado Rapids striker Kevin Doyle, who has made a goalscoring comeback from the injury that kept him out of the Euros this summer, has been named in the squad.
Also included in the provisional squad is goalkeeper Colin Doyle, who earned his only senior cap against Ecuador in May 2007, and has recorded six clean sheets for Bradford City so far this season.
The Ireland squad will train at the FAI National Training Centre before departing for Vienna on Thursday, November 10.
