Gareth Bale scored Real Madrid’s fastest ever goal in the Champions League in their tie against Legia Warsaw.

Oh – and it’s a belter by the way.

Bale’s tremendous volley from the edge of the area into the top corner came only 57 seconds into the game.

Sadly for Bale there wasn’t a crowd around to go wild for the goal, as crowd trouble at Warsaw’s last Champions League game – a 6-0 drubbing from Borussia Dortmund – meant the game had to be played behind closed doors.

Luckily for Bale though, there are other ways fans can show their appreciation…

Even people we suspect are probably Barcelona fans admitted it was special.

Bale recently signed a rather prosperous contract extension keeping him at the Spanish giants until 2022 – worth reportedly a cool £18 million per year – and some believe the extra pocket money may have had an effect.

Despite the Bale’s brilliance however, some do think Mesut Ozil’s sumptuous goal yesterday was still better.

You want to see that one again don’t you? Oh all right then.
