Emma Watson has been surprising commuters by sneaking around the London Underground to hide books.
The Harry Potter actress dashed around Tube stations to drop off copies of Maya Angelou’s Mom & Me & Mom, which is the November pick for her book club Our Shared Shelf.
Emma, 26, posted images on her social media accounts of her hiding the novels around the capital.
She also shared a video which shows her dropping the books along the escalator rail at a station.
The star went on her mission as part of the Books On The Underground movement, which sees “book fairies” leaving their favourite reads at Tube stations for commuters to find and enjoy.
The idea is that the books are then returned to the Underground for more readers to pick up.
Emma wrote on Instagram: “I’ve been hiding copies of Mom & Me & Mom for @booksontheunderground on the tube today! See if you can find one tomorrow!”
Several commuters took to Twitter to tell of their surprise that the actress was sneaking around the Underground.

Books On The Underground said on its website: “We are so excited to have such an amazing book shared by such an inspiring person as Emma Watson, and look forward to seeing the reaction of people who find them tonight and tomorrow!”
Emma, who was appointed UN women goodwill ambassador in July 2014, started her book club earlier this year.
