Beachwear company owner JD O’Brien was the week five casualty of The Apprentice, but the show’s fans feel that there may have been a worthier loser.
JD was booted over his misdirection of a challenge that involved crowdfunding for cycling products, where his team failed to secure the most money from investors.
He may have been fired, but he certainly was popular.
JD you were too nice for the apprentice it's better to be too nice than too ruthless #apprentice

Oh JD you're such a lovely guy. Me and my mum had your back. Sorry mate, dont give up! #apprentice
— Jodi May (@JodiMay15) November 3, 2016
The Apprentice without JD is like Disney Land with no Mickey mouse
— James Dunn (@jamesdunny25) November 3, 2016
Viewers thought that JD had been unlucky, or rather that Rebecca Jeffery had been lucky by not being fired instead.
Shocked #jd got fired #apprentice would have been #Rebecca for me
— Claire Whitehead (@PiNkPaNtHeR84) November 3, 2016
Ahhhh JD! As if he went, how did Rebecca not get fired?! #beige #apprentice
— LE (@Elevs5) November 3, 2016
Feel sorry for JD...... that Rebecca is useless... haven't seen her do anything yet #apprentice

In fact, people thought Lord Sugar would have done well to cut out more than one candidate this week.
Hope two go tonight...double gilets #apprentice
— susan (@twowitty) November 3, 2016
Or perhaps many more than one…
I don't understand why @Lord_Sugar doesn't just fire them all after one episode - they're all hopeless... #theapprentice #apprentice #bbcone
— Greig Duncan (@GreigJDuncan) November 3, 2016
I would fire both teams and start over again#Apprentice
— duane deeman (@ldnfinest1) November 3, 2016
But the viewers are starting to feel as though there isn’t much to choose from in terms of a winner.
@Lord_Sugar I think you need to cancel the Apprentice this year, no one is a worthy winner!
— Danny Peters (@DannyJayPeters) November 3, 2016
Nah BBC should cancel this season of apprentice.
— King Koba (@akuwanu) November 3, 2016
There's like no discernible winner in this years Apprentice
— hann (@hannlee_) November 3, 2016
Let’s hope the remaining candidates step up next week.
