Fast Show star Charlie Higson has joined the cast of Broadchurch but will soon be swapping the beautiful beaches for the small Cambridgeshire village of Grantchester.
He has just wrapped filming on the third series of the Dorset crime show, and will soon move on to filming Grantchester with James Norton.
All finished filming on Broadchurch. Now I'm on to Grantchester, with fabulous James Norton & Tessa Peake Jones pic.twitter.com/VjcAHjKrMQ

He is so tickled by his move from one location-named crime drama to another, he is introducing a new policy.
After Broadchurch and Grantchester I’ve decided I’ll only do crime dramas set in specific places - Shetland next?

Other possible crime dramas might be Happy Valley or Ripper Street.

To clarify. I’m only prepared to be in crime dramas that actually exist like Shetland. There's no money to be made acting in imaginary shows

And the title must contain the location and nothing else (hence Midsomer Murders is right out).

With the abundance of brilliant crime dramas on TV right now, it’s probably do-able.
Broadchurch will return to ITV next year.
