David Walliams will host this year’s Royal Variety Performance – while Sting, Robbie Williams and Barry Gibb are all set to perform.
Other stars on the bill for the show include Funny Girl actress Sheridan Smith, Gary Barlow and Emeli Sande – as well as Britain’s Got Talent winner and magician Lance Corporal Richard Jones.
The cast of Cirque Du Soleil’s The Beatles Love show will fly over from Las Vegas for a special performance to mark its 10th anniversary – and there will be previews from the casts of Gershwin’s classic musical An American In Paris, Dreamgirls and Gary Barlow’s The Girls.
The variety show will take place in front of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, who will also be treated to numbers from One Republic and DNCE – while McFly singer Tom Fletcher will read from his new book The Christmasaurus.
Britain’s Got Talent winning dance troupe Diversity will perform on the stage where they first auditioned and comedy will be provided by Joe Lycett, Alan Davies and Rob Beckett.
David said: “I’m very honoured and excited to be hosting the Royal Variety Performance. I was lucky enough to host back in 2012 so will be looking forward to another fabulous evening with huge talent.”
The event is staged in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, formerly the Entertainment Artistes’ Benevolent Fund, of which the Queen is patron.
The money raised from the show helps those people from the world of entertainment in need of care and assistance.
It will take place at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith on December 6 and will be broadcast on ITV.
