Former Coronation Street star Kevin Kennedy had to reassure fans he had not stolen his jeans after he appeared on TV with the security tag firmly fixed to the leg.
The actor, who is best known for playing Curly Watts for 20 years on the soap, was hinting at a comeback to the cobbles on ITV’s Lorraine when he was asked about the mysterious tag and he had to promise viewers it was an honest mistake.
Oops! We hope you fix that wardrobe malfunction, Kevin Kennedy! 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/GryimuGRmz

Chatting to Lorraine Kelly on ITV’s Lorraine, he said; “I bought these jeans to come on the telly and then noticed this.
“Honest, John Lewis, I didn’t steal them! They didn’t beep when I left the shop!”
Lorraine was reduced to a fit of giggles and instructed him not to walk through any security barriers while he was wearing them and viewers at home seemed just as tickled.
@ITVLorraine @reallorraine John Lewis need to sponsor him now after all that free advertising! 😍
