The Duchess of Cambridge proved herself a friend of the felines as she hit the red carpet on Thursday night for the world premiere of heartfelt film, A Street Cat Named Bob.

Meeting the star of the show, Bob himself, she made him purr with a gentle stroke as she chatted to his owner, James Bowen.

But it was hard to tell who was turning the most heads at the event at central London’s Curzon Mayfair cinema.

Was it Kate Middleton in a stunning white Self Portrait gown…

…Or was it the handsome ginger bombshell himself, especially brushed for the occasion?

Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt, who plays Val in the film, rocked a gorgeous deep red gown by Maria Lucia Hohan.
