People in Dublin are being urged to do their bit for the homeless this winter.

Transdev Ireland which operates the Luas has launched their Christmas Shoe Box Appeal – it’s hoping to fill a tram with gifts for the city’s homeless.

Last year 3,000 shoe boxes were collected and this year Transdev says it hopes to collect over 5,000.

The collection point will be at Connolly Station on Thursday December 8th will all boxes distributed by Inner City Helping Homeless.
