Ireland paid a lovely tribute to Munster’s Anthony Foley at their Test match against New Zealand this evening.

While the rugby world champions performed their traditional haka at the start of the game in Chicago tonight, Ireland lined up to form the number eight.

Foley made the number eight position his own during a long and successful Munster career highlighted by him captaining them to European Cup final glory in 2006.

The Killaloe man also lined out for Ireland 62 times, three times as captain.

The 42-year-old Munster Rugby coach passed away last month while in Paris with the Munster Rugby team who were to play Racing 92 in the Champions Cup.
