Daisy Lowe is, first and foremost, a model but the Strictly Come Dancing star has now said that she is keen to venture into acting.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, the 27-year-old catwalk star said that appearing on the BBC programme has helped her to overcome her stage fright, which held her back before.
She said: “Strictly has been such a gift. It is so much more than I thought it was going to be.”
On now potentially taking on roles other than modelling, she said: “Totally. I’ve always loved acting but never thought I could do theatre because I got the worst stage fright ever.”
Daisy appears in the magazine in a stunning portrait with her dance partner, Aljaz Skorjanec, the pair looking every inch the professional pairing.
The star, whose parents are Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale, also spoke about the difficulties of having grown up in the spotlight and now being famous in her own right.
Daisy said: “I’m just a 27-year-old lady trying to figure out what I do and don’t want in a relationship so that I don’t make the same mistakes again.
“For anyone who isn’t in the public eye, that would seem normal, but because I get photographed going on one date with someone, then suddenly he is my boyfriend.”
She went on to say that she is feeling better than ever now, despite having fallen into the dance-off twice on the series so far.
“The older I get, the younger I feel. I care less about what other people think and just want to do what makes me happy. Having a good time is much more important than not, you know.”
