Former Strictly Come Dancing star Chelsee Healey waltzed into Hollyoaks village tonight, where she put her best foot forward as the newest member of the McQueen clan.

Chelsee, who previously starred in Waterloo Road and was a contestant on Strictly in 2011, made her debut on the Channel 4 soap as Goldie McQueen, living up to her Goldilocks namesake with her screen entrance.

In tonight’s E4 first look episode, Goldie was seen breaking into the McQueen family home, where she raided the kitchen and went for a nap in Mercedes’ bed, which is where Myra and John Paul found her.

They weren’t exactly thrilled at the reunion, as Goldie is from the rough side of the family – although Myra did eventually agree to let her stay with them.

However, John Paul will be doing his best to avoid his troublemaker cousin, who goes on to try to steal bags from Cindy and Dirk’s Emporium, meets up with his boyfriend James Nightingale in the pub, and pesters Adam Donovan and Louis Loveday for a free haircut while hanging out at the salon.

Goldie hasn’t come to Hollyoaks alone – Chelsee’s casting was announced back in July, along with Malique Thompson-Dwyer and Theo Graham who play her 15-year-old twins, Prince and Hunter.

Chelsee said: “I am absolutely thrilled to join Hollyoaks. I’ve grown up watching it so to be in it is unbelievable. It was an irresistible opportunity, especially to play this character.

“I can’t believe I am playing a mum but the boys are so fantastic to work with and we are all delighted by our new family unit.

“Less delighted are the current McQueens who are most put out by our arrival. I’m most excited by her wardrobe, which is a bit like mine in my younger days.”

Goldie’s entrance will air in the Channel 4 episode tomorrow night.
