Rihanna has been hard at work in her role as a film star for upcoming crime thriller Ocean’s Eight.
She’s usually better known as a pop star, but RiRi cast aside her normal glam look in favour of a distinctly scruffier costume for a day of filming in New York.
The Diamonds singer was spotted on the set of the latest instalment in the Ocean’s series in a chilly-looking park in the city with long dreads in her hair and wearing a baggy outfit of a multi-coloured hooded jumper, ripped jeans and sensible brown boots.
It may not have been her usual image, but Rihanna was obviously still feeling proud as she posted a snap to Instagram, captioning it: “clocked. in. #08″
She was filming scenes alongside two of the film’s other stars, Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock, who also layered up in winter clothes – albeit slightly smarter ones.
Rihanna was seen sharing a joke with Cate as the pair sat on a bench, and striding through the city with both Cate and Sandra.
Off camera, she wrapped up against the cold autumn day in a huge, oversized fake fur hoody that reached almost to her ankles.
Ocean’s Eight, due to be released in June 2018, is said to be an all-female spin-off of the film series that stars George Clooney and is thought to be about a heist at the Met Gala in New York.
Also starring in the film are Dakota Fanning, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling and Damian Lewis.
