They start them young in Tipperary!

The 2 Johnnies new sketch, which has almost 300,000 views online, parodies the dedication it takes to make it as an inter-county hurler.

The comedy duo insist on a ‘no sweets, no Cidona, no waffles’ diet to a young Tipperary prospect: “We can talk about waffles when you’ve eight All-Irelands in your back-pocket.”

Instead, it’s a life that requires 27-inch arms, 87 hurleys and 5,000 press-ups a day.

That comes after a weekend in which Tipperary All-Star Pádraic Maher had a hurley broken across his face and was only interested in which way the sideline cut was given.

So that’s the secret behind the hardy Tipperary hurlers revealed!
