After winning the electoral vote Donald Trump will become the 45th president of the United States in January.
The business tycoon has never shied away from being in the public eye, starring in the US version of The Apprentice and a big fan of the odd cameo.
From Home Alone 2 to Sex And The City, here are some of Trump’s best TV and film appearances — oh, and of course he always played himself.
1. A Wrestlemania appearance ended with Trump as a barber
In 2013 Trump appeared in the Battle of the Billionaires with WWE chief Vince McMahon. Each picked a fighter to represent them with the loser having to shave their head. During the match Trump bodyslammed McMahon and won, meaning we still don’t know what he looks like without that golden nest.
2. Award-winning cameo in Ghosts Can’t Do It
Trump starred in this 1989 film opposite Bo Derek and was handed the prize for worst supporting actor at the 1991 Razzie awards. The appearance includes this which could go down as the slimiest line in cinema history – “In this room there are knives sharp enough to cut you to the bone and hearts cold enough to eat yours as hors d’oeuvres.” Eww.
3. Sex And The City
One of his most fleeting cameos comes from this episode of Sex And The City. Trump, again starring as himself, doesn’t even get a line with his whole appearance lasting six seconds and simply involving a courtesy twist of the neck.
4. Helping Kevin in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York
Possibly his most famous appearance in a Hollywood hit. Trump gives some directions to a lost Kevin looking for the lobby in a cameo that has prompted dozens of memes and re-edits.
5. Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Carving out his The Donald image was helped by Will Smith and co in this Fresh Prince appearance. His cameo includes the line “everybody’s always blaming me for everything” which sounds like the most Trumpian sentence ever uttered.
6. Zoolander
Presidents of US past aren’t known for praising male models but Trump does exactly that in this Zoolander cameo where he reveals himself as the film’s star. Another quick appearance in which he’s joined by wife Melania, however the best Zoolander cameo still has to go to David Bowie.
And if that isn’t enough, enjoy this pretty comprehensive video of nearly every Trump cameo on film and TV.
