The Maori All Blacks have honoured the late Anthony Foley with a pre-match tribute at Thomond Park, writes Stephen Barry.

The visiting captain Ash Dixon and three teammates walked to the halfway line before the ceremonial Haka against Munster, placing a black jersey with Foley’s initials on it between the teams.

Dixon then led the Maori All Blacks in their Timatanga Haka, after which Foley’s sons, Tony and Dan, were presented with the commemorative jersey.

Munster winger Simon Zebo, who is on Ireland duty this week, commended the Maori’s “beautiful tribute” to the former Munster head coach.

Legendary All Black fly-half Dan Carter also praised the “awesome touch”.
