X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary and the show’s production staff risked the wrath of Simon Cowell during Saturday night’s show after releasing an embarrassing throwback photo of the music mogul.

The picture – which was later posted on The X Factor’s twitter feed – shows a boyish Simon flexing his muscles alongside long-term friend Sinitta.
Viewers were delighted with the picture’s release and it was fairly obvious by the colour of his cheeks how Simon felt.
