A man is due in court in Dublin this evening, charged in connection with the attempted murder of a man in Ballyfermot.

The man in his 20s was arrested following a shooting incident which took place on Raheen Drive in Cherry Orchard earlier this month.

He is due before Dublin District Court in the next hour.

A 42-year-old man suffered apparent gunshot wounds during the incident and was taken to Saint James’ Hospital with serious injuries.
