The news that Sam Lavery was the latest contestant to be crashing out of The X Factor in this week’s disco-themed show has got a few people hot under the collar online.
Lavery joined Ryan Lawrie in the bottom two and battled against him in the sing-off for a place in next week’s movie-themed spectacular.
But despite a rousing performance, Sam eventually left with the fewest public votes, after judges failed to agree on who should be sent home following a last-minute change of heart from Sharon Osbourne, who originally indicated that Ryan should be the one to go.
And it wasn’t long before fans on Twitter showed what they thought of the outcome…
Again the better singer gets voted off... #XFactor

"The act I'm sending home because he's been in the bottom two a lot is... Sam!" 😂😂😭 #XFactor pic.twitter.com/KJfG2m1m1R

Despite a valiant rendition of Mary J Blige’s No More Drama, 17-year-old Sam failed to win over enough members of the public and will now return to her native County Durham before picking up her music career again.
Aw well done Sam, she's been amazing #xfactor

Sharon: 'the reason I'm sending him home is because he's always in the bottom, so I'm sending Sam home'. Very logical #XFactor

Ryan is amazing but Sam was my ultimate favourite. Absolutely disappointed that she's out. #xfactor #XFactorResults

Meanwhile, remaining contestants Matt, 5 After Midnight, Saara, Ryan and Honey G will be preparing for the all-important Movie week, when they’ll have the chance to wow audiences with their take on some film classics.
Even Nicole looked surprised when Sharon saved Ryan 😳 like Ryan but Sam should've stayed #XFactor

The #XFactor judges all said Sam sang well in the sing off, so now I'm wondering if my telly is broken...

Let’s just hope there aren’t too many last-minute decisions in that episode – we’re not sure if our hearts can take it.
