Two hundred new jobs are on the way to Galway.

Life insurance company MetLife is expanding its Irish operations with the opening of a new Global Technology Campus.

MetLife currently employs close to 300 people at its European hub in Dublin.

New York-based MetLife considered adding as many as 400 jobs in Galway, the Connacht Tribune reported earlier this year.

The campus is expected to open in the first half of 2017, and recruitment will begin immediately.
