It was another tearful day for the male camp mates on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! as the pressures of the jungle caused Jordan Banjo to break down.
In the series’ third episode, aired on Wednesday, he told Lisa Snowdon that he was struggling to cope without his friends and family.
The Diversity dancer, 23, said: “When we’re on tour I’m always with my mum and brother, I feel homesick, I literally keep finding myself getting emotional, I hate it.”
Lisa tried to comfort her camp mate by reminding him how “super proud” his family would be of him, but he still needed to take a moment in the dunny to compose himself before rejoining her to start their cooking chore together.
He later told the Bush Telegraph: “It all got a bit emotional for me, I got up, had a little walk up by the dunny and came back and I was fine.”
On Monday’s episode – the second in the series – homesickness also drove former footballer Wayne Bridge to tears.
He spoke to Larry Lamb about the pain of being away from his wife, The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, and children.
And it looked like Frankie missed him right back…
So proud of @WayneBridge tonight. So pleased to see him happy. And keeping up the flossing! 🙊haha good boy! #ImACeleb #TeamBridge

Larry’s own story about his difficulties growing up in North London and his three marriages did not help to dry the tears.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues on Thursday at 9pm on ITV, when the jungle camp mates will be joined by new additions to the show, Danny Baker and Martin Roberts.
