ICTU has said its representatives will meet with the Government again in two weeks time and will take a collective approach to upcoming pay talks.

It comes as Ministers say they will not break from the Lansdowne Road Agreement and that pay deals would be repeating the mistakes of the past.

Elsewhere SIPTU have reiterated that the Government needs to announce new pay talks immediately.

Divisional organiser John King said: “I think it’s right and only proper that as we emerge from the crisis as additional resources become available, that public sector workers should equally share in that outcome.”
