With Arsenal travelling to Manchester United for the first meeting between the sides this season, the Jose Mourinho v Arsene Wenger rivalry continues – at least on Jose’s side anyway.
Wenger seems to have gotten over personal battles, whereas Mourinho, despite his many trophies, has not.

Some saw it as a trademark comment from the United manager, throwing insults around before a big game to get his team going.

But others can’t help but wonder why the two-time Champions League winner is still picking fights with the Frenchman.
Always admired Mourinho. But why does he keep on coming after Wenger with cheap shots? Truly greats say less and let titles speak

It is something of a theme of Mourinho’s management style, but Arsenal’s manager of 20 years has long since stopped rising to the bait.
It's funny how obsessed Mourinho is with Wenger, and I like how the latter doesn't pay attention to him and just lets him embarrass himself.

Wenger says nothing about Mourinho in his presser. Today, Mourinho says an essay's worth about Wenger. Sigh. He'll never ever move on.

Mourinho, however, remains perplexed.
Mourinho wonders why he doesn't get the respect Wenger does. Then immediately follows it up with another dig.

Let the football do the talking, Jose.
