An All-Ireland winner with Donegal and Ballyboden St Enda’s, there’s no doubting the loss of Paul Durcan’s talents to the Championship this summer, writes Stephen Barry.

However, Donegal’s loss has been Qatar’s gain, with Durcan tearing through opponents in his role as a fly ‘keeper in the Middle East League.

The two-time All-Star begins his highlights reel as a hard-hitting ball-winner in midfield, before returning to his usual position to make a last-ditch save.

Things get more interesting in the final highlights, as Durcan charges upfield to the delight of the crowd and even makes a high catch in the opposition goal-mouth.

As Jerome Quinn, who filmed the video, put it on his Facebook page: “Move over Michael Murphy!”

We’d sure enjoy seeing them team up as a two-man full-forward line…
